Filtermist mist extraction

Filtermist oil mist collectors are high efficiency, oil-mist extraction units operating on the principal of centrifugal impaction.

Oil mist and oil smoke are two of the most hazardous substances produced as a by-product from metal cutting applications that use oil or oil-based coolants during the machining process.

COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2002 require all employers to minimise exposure to airborne particles which can cause serious respiratory health issues for employees. Airborne mist particles can also present a safety risk when they settle on surfaces, by posing slip and fire hazards.

Star GB supplies Filtermist International Limited's UK manufactured mist extraction units which have been trusted by world-leading manufacturers in over 60 countries since 1969.

FILTERMIST S800F

The Filtermist S800F is the latest generation of the world-leading Filtermist centrifugal oil mist collectors. Simple to install and simple to maintain, the units utilise the mechanical process of centrifugal impaction to remove oil mist from the machine and return clean air to the factory.

  • Mid-size centrifugal oil mist collectors for mid-large size machine tools
  • Airflows 1260 m3/hr
  • Ideal for standard pressure neat oil and emulsion applications
  • Easy mounting options on or off-machine
  • Easy to service and maintain
  • Compact, Quiet & Efficient

The extraction units are long lasting and will maintain high filtration efficiency with regular servicing. For the S800F floor mounted unit, Filtermist recommend service intervals of 12 months (or 2000 running hours). Replacement after filters (PART No. 3000AFA) are available from our spares department.

FILTERMIST S400F

The Filtermist S400F is the latest generation of the world-leading renowned Filtermist centrifugal oil mist collectors. Simple to install and simple to maintain, the units utilise the mechanical process of centrifugal impaction to remove oil mist from the machine and return clean air to the factory.

  • Compact centrifugal oil mist collectors for use on smaller machine tools
  • Airflow 420 m3/hr
  • Ideal for standard pressure neat oil and emulsion applications
  • Easy to mount on top of machine with direct mount or bracket option
  • Easy to service & maintain
  • Quiet, Compact & Efficient

The extraction units are long lasting and will maintain high filtration efficiency with regular servicing. For the S400F machine mounted unit, Filtermist recommend service intervals of 12 months (or 2000 running hours). Replacement after filters (PART No.2300AFA) are available from our spares department.

Absolent

Absolent's oil mist filter A•mist guarantees a high separating efficiency, which does not deteriorate even over long periods of operation. The filters can run continuously 24 hours a day.

The filter cassettes are self-draining and have a very long operating life, which means minimal servicing and maintenance costs. A•mist filter cassettes can usually be washed.

All Absolent filters are fire-tested and have a low noise level.

ABSOLENT A MIST10S

For applications using neat oil delivered by a high pressure coolant system, the number of sub-micron oil smoke particles produced are in a far higher concentration compared to standard coolant delivery applications.

The Absolent A mist10S extraction units are media based systems offering high capacity filters designed to cope with the large volumes of smoke and mist produced by this machining method. The unit offers a high degree of separation for sub-micron oil smoke particles with air flow rates upto 100M³/h. The filtration process occurs in two stages in the A mist10S. The process air first passes through the self-draining Absolent filter casetts means the unit can be operated without interuptions.

The Absolent extraction units have an electronic pressure guage, the A monitor, which shows the pressure drop over the different filter stages and indicates when a filter cassette needs to be changed. The extraction units can run for at least one year and in many cases up to three years without requiring a filter change.

The Absolent A.mist10S is the latest oil mist filter manufactured by Swedish company Absolent, specifically for use on mists created by high-pressure coolant systems. Utilising high-specification synthetic filter material coupled with a HEPA filter the filters are designed to self-drain, helping to increasing lifetime of the filters.

  • Floor standing Static Media filter
  • Airflow 500m3/hr
  • Ideal for high pressure neat oil applications
  • Long service intervals
  • Pressure Indicator
  • 99.97% Efficient

ABSOLENT A MIST20HPS

For applications using neat oil delivered by a high pressure coolant system, the number of sub-micron oil smoke particles produced are in a far higher concentration compared to standard coolant delivery applications.

The Absolent A mist20HPS extraction units are media based systems offering high capacity filters designed to cope with large volumes of smoke and mist produced by this machining method. The unit offers a high degree of separation for sub-micron oil smoke particles with aire flow rates from upto 2000M³/h.

The filtration process occurs in three stages in the A mist 20HPS. The process air first passes through the self-draining Absolent filter casettes, where approximately 95% of the oil mist and smoke is arrested. The final stage consists of a high efficiency HEPA filter which arrests particles passing through, the return oil is collected at the bottom of the filter for recycling and clean air is passed into the workshop. The continuous draining of the filter casettes means the unit can be operated without interuptions. The Absolent extraction units have an electronic pressure guage, the A monitor which shows the pressure drop over the different filter stages and indicates when a filter cassette needs to be changed. The extraction units can run for at least one year and in many cases up to three years without requiring a filter change.

ABSOLENT A Smoke20
